    SOMEONE WAS TELLING ME

    Verse 1

    Someone was telling me that His love is free.

    That He could even forgive someone like me.

    I should give to Him my heart, and all that I own.

    And in return that I could have Heaven for my home.



    Verse 2

    I was told to thank Him and take time to pray.

    To ask Him to forgive me each and every day.

    For I am a sinner and my life would someday end.

    My choice is very simple. Ask Jesus to come in.



    Verse 3

    This same someone was telling me, though I am just a man,

    That I could be with Jesus forever in the promised land.

    To praise Him now, with all my heart, for Jesus is the son.

    Give my life to Jesus, for He is the Holy one.



    SPEAK

    I LISTENED VERY CLOSELY TO THE STORY AND THE PLAN,

    AND I COULD PICTURE JESUS WITH HIS OUT STRETCHED HANDS.



    Sing

    And suddenly, it hit me. I knew it had to come.

    The Holy Ghost had filled my heart and I had met the Son.



    Verse 4

    My fear was gone and all my pain, my troubles and my strife.

    I learned to trust in Jesus. To Him, I gave my life.

    My love for Him grew stronger. Peace came to me on earth.

    I knew I'd been forgiven. It's almost like new birth.



    Verse 5

    So now all that I'm telling you is that His love is free.

    He can forgive someone like you as He has forgiven me.

    You are told to thank Him and take time to pray.

    To ask Him to forgive you, each and every day.

    For you are a sinner and your life will someday end.

    Your choice is very simple. Ask Jesus to come in.
